Helen M. Johnson (69), who attended our Sept 2011 Arkadaşlar reunion, died suddenly of heart failure on Oct. 1, 2011. A Brooklyn native and graduate in Pharmacy from Fordham University, lived in Turkey from 1966-1968 as a Peace Corps volunteer; and then in Washington, D.C. as Chief Pharmacist at Sibley Hospital.  She later moved to Philadelphia to earn her M.B.A. at the Wharton School and work as a product manager for Smith Kline.  Later she moved to Havertown, Pa., her primary residence for 25 years. Everywhere Helen lived her legendary hospitality, concern for others, and generosity of spirit attracted loving and devoted friends.  She will long be remembered.
