PELHAM, PHYLLIS W., 90, of Tampa, died Friday (April 25, 2003) at John Knox Village, Tampa. Born in Toronto, she moved to Tampa in 1937. She was a graduate of the University of Toronto and was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She was a member of the Girl Guides and was a director and leader in the Girl Scouts. She joined the Peace Corps in 1964 and trained nurses in physical therapy in Ankara, Turkey. She was a past member of St. Andrews, St. Mary’s, Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, Tampa and St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, Crystal River. She was also a member of ECW Altar Guild Vestry and Lay Reader. Survivors include two sons, John W., Crystal River, and Gerald, Michigan; four grandchildren, Candace Head, Florida, John, Houston, Richard, Florida, and David, Colorado; and four great-grandchildren.
