July 2, 2018  

Gerald Karey passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2018 while on vacation.  The cause of death is not known for sure, although he may have drowned. 

There was a memorial service for Gerry on August 4, 2018, in Washington DC.

Gerry left early and suddenly and, for those of us who knew and liked him, he took a little piece of our joy with him.  We know for certain that on July 2 of 2018, the world to which we are all probably heading, received an infusion and perhaps overdose of humor. We will wait and see if it isn’t a much more fun, and funnier, place.  — Larry M.


Gerry was truly an outstanding member of T-8.  Someone that everyone liked and admired, dry humor, always upbeat, creative writer and ….well, just a good friend/a good person..  He will be missed by many.
