1942 – November 5, 2018

Thomas M. Doerr, beloved husband of Bernadette (Doe), proud father of his two sons Robert and Michael (Liz) Doerr, proud and adoring Grandpa of Luke Doerr, dear brother of John “Jack” (Doris) Doerr, fond uncle of Lauren Doerr, and beloved son of the late John and Mary Doerr passed away at the age of 76 on November 5, 2018. Tom was a trusted and valued friend to many.

He received his undergraduate degree from Lewis College and then spent two years in the Peace Corps in Turkey. Tom was an elementary schoolteacher for 17 years at May School on Chicago’s West Side, and then worked for another 17 years as an attorney for Comdisco after receiving his MBA and JD. Tom loved to play golf with his family and friends, and was an avid White Sox fan.

Memorial visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home at 504 W Main Street, West Dundee 60118 on Sunday, November 18 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Family and Friends will meet for Funeral Mass on Monday, November 19 at noon in the chapel at St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly, Little Sisters of the Poor 80 W Northwest Highway, Palatine 60067.
